The Heart Behind Travis Totes

During COVID, a small group of us met while our daughters danced together in a local ballet class. We quickly became more than just "the dance moms"—we became sisters, confidants, and each other’s safe place. These women were my rock. And then, we experienced the unimaginable: the loss of a child. These friends grieved with our family as if it were their own loss.

One of those dear friends, Jess, met me at the hospital that week. She came with nothing more than a filled canvas tote and a hug—but somehow, it was everything. Her simple act of love, paired with the kindness she rallied from our close circle, left a lasting imprint. That bag, filled with comfort and care, became a seed of hope in the midst of sorrow.

And now, that seed has grown.

Just two weeks ago, we delivered our very first Travis Tote—a small gesture of love and support to a mother walking the painful path of loss. It is a sacred honor to care for women in our community who are grieving the loss of a precious child. These totes are our way of saying: You are not alone. We see you. We love you.

As we continue to walk alongside these brave mothers, we ask for your prayers. Each tote marks not an end, but the beginning of a long road to healing. And while the journey is tender, we believe that with God’s love—and with each other—no one has to walk it alone.

With love,
Michelle
